Loch Lomond Attractions

Places to Visit in Loch Lomond

From hill walking, aerial adventure courses, loch cruises and whisky distilleries, to ancient Scottish castles, Cameron Lodges is the perfect basecamp for a family holiday in Scotland. Choose from a variety of boat trips to experience Loch Lomond on water, or visit Loch Lomond Shores where you can stroll with the family and enjoy a range of local shops, fresh produce and feel the warm air brush off your faces. It’s packed with a host of fantastic family friendly activities that everyone will enjoy.

For the kids there is SEALIFE Centre Loch Lomond in Balloch where the little ones can explore the depths of the ocean with marine displays, see the weird and wonderful creatures that breath underwater, go to specialist talks and feeding demonstrations. SEALIFE is one of Loch Lomond’s most popular local attractions.

Open all year, Loch Lomond Shores combines the beautiful environment in which it sits with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences including the bi-monthly Farmers Market which takes place on the first and third Sunday of every month.

One of our favourite local attractions includes Glengoyne Whisky Distillery in nearby Kilearn. This is a must visit for whisky lovers of all ages. With a variety of tours available and an exquisite tasting experience featuring their infamous 12 year old malt and gift shop, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, you can finish off your tour in the most tranquil setting as you stroll up towards the waterfall and hidden glen to appreciate the stunning Scottish landscapes that surround the distilleries premises.

That’s not all, our resort also offers guests a range of activities to choose from including Segway Safaris, Archery, loch cruise and an unforgettable skyline trip with Loch Lomond Seaplanes. Whether you’d like to explore the resort on two wheels, hear historic tales of the loch onboard our luxury Celtic Warrior yacht or simply enjoy 70 miles of stunning scenery from above, we like to spoil you with choices as we want your couples weekend or family trip to be as memorable as possible.

Or if you’d simply like to relax and enjoy the endless serenity that surrounds you in Loch Lomond, visit our award winning Cameron Spa within the grounds of our Cameron Club & Spa resort just minutes away from Cameron House. Reconnect with nature and relaxation as you walk through our spa doors where the Rasul Mud chamber awaits, the thermal experiences, a range of indulgent wellness spa treatments and our guests favourite, the rooftop infinity pool which looks out towards mountain scenery above The Carrick golf course.

Whether you’d like an action packed adventure exploring the local area or stay within the grounds of our Loch Lomond resort, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during their lodge break. Cameron Lodges is also located in close proximity to some of Scotland’s most well-known castles including Eilean Donan Castle, Stirling Castle and Edinburgh Castle.
