February 2019 Breaks in Loch Lomond, Scotland

February Half Term at Cameron Lodges

February Half Term at Cameron Lodges Loch Lomond

Just as Loch Lomond starts to thaw, the snowdrops begin to break through the ground and the signs of spring are slowing starting to make an appearance. February is a great time to take the kids and explore some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer.

Perfectly positioned within The Trossachs National Park, our wide selection of luxury lodges, cottages and apartments are the ideal base for a family break over February Half Term.

There’s lots of family friendly activities available within the resort. Plus there’s plenty going on in the nearby area. We’ll keep this page updated with local events as and when they’re announced.

February Half Term Activities

Make the most of your February Half Term and head to the banks of Loch Lomond where you can explore beautiful Scottish scenery and enjoy some well-needed family time as you partake in various action-packed activities in and around our luxurious resort.

Resort Activities

Explore the grounds of our resort on two wheels with a Segway Safari! Hop on your Segway and follow one of our experienced instructors through the woodlands and off-road tracks, taking the time to appreciate the picturesque views of both the Loch and surrounding landscapes.

You can also hire mountain bikes for the whole family. Embark on a picturesque journey through The Trossachs National Park. There are cycling routes to suit all abilities.

Children aged 8 and above can take part in Archery. This is a great activity if you have older children and something that will really get the adrenaline flowing and challenge the whole family. Our highly trained Archers will help your little ones with their aim and teach them how to hold a bow and arrow correctly. We have bows to suit all age groups.

Jawsome Sharks at SEA LIFE Aquarium

SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is hosting an unmissable event called Jawsome Sharks this half term. Let your little ones take a dive into the deep blue sea and become the newest recruits of the Jawsome Rangers and fulfil the mission of locating the missing shark teeth. They will be searching for hours as they try to locate large play-doh shark teeth in the tanks and whilst they are on task, they will uncover fascinating facts about different species of sharks. Educational and fun, the best combination a parent could ask for. And once they have found the missing teeth, your little rangers will get a special play-doh gift to take home.

Loch Lomond Faerie Trail

Explore the woodlands of Luss as you search for the Scottish faeries that roam the Highlands. Scottish faeries have lived on the banks of Loch Lomond for as long as we can remember, happily inhabiting the forest and woodlands, living at one with nature in their magical faerie houses. Take your little ones on a fairy-tale journey where the faeries fly and explore the forest which they call home. But beware and take care on your explorations as when the Vikings attacked Scotland many years before the little ones were born, they brought along some troublesome trolls, who still roam the hills within the Scottish Highlands.
